We got delicious hand-made beef noodle and spicy & sour lamp dumpling soup. Definitely worth to try. I’d suggest maybe going with less spicy option as it was a bit spicier than my expectation. For those coming from Berlin, it is more like a Weng Cheng’s beef / lamb noodle. It is a self service restaurant.

This place had a solid chili oil spicy with the drunken noodle we got that plus the tofu in chili sauce. The noodles were spicy tangy, filled with ham and a good texture between the chew and the spice of the chili. The tofu pudding was also quite good. It’s a very soft and warm tofu mixed with the crunchy garlic and spring onions. The over the place was nothing too fancy or special and the service was really great because it was quick and it was ordering through the kiosk.

Best noddles I have ever had they were very dense and delicious with a great spiced level. I would love to come here again. The lamb burger was so good I could eat 2 more. One thing issue I had was that I came in and was not greeted, which is fine. But when I went to the register, no one looked at me or acknowledged me and I was standing there for a couple of minutes and they would look past me and not acknowledge me. It then donned to me that there was a self check out. As it was my first time there. I didn’t see nor knew you would need to use it. It would’ve been great to at least be told by someone that it is expected to use that. Nonetheless, great food.

It’s our first time to try Xi’an famous Food in Chinatown . Good size eating area ,clean and easy to put in order at the self-service kiosks. We got the spicy cumin lamb, Spicy & Tingly Beef Muscle Hand-Ripped Noodles in Soup and Stir-fried Liang-Pi "Cold Skin Noodles. Meat is tender and they got just right spiciness I like. Service is fast and cashier is nice. Surely it’s a recommendable place to eat.

Xi'an Famous Foods started small and grew into something a lot of New Yorkers consider a staple, and the Chinatown location on Bayard is a good representation of why. It's tucked into an alley, not much seating, mostly a place to order, grab a seat if you can find one, and eat quickly before heading back out into the city. There's a touchpad ordering system which takes a minute to figure out the first time, but after that it's smooth. The hand-pulled noodles are the whole reason to come. We got the spicy cumin lamb noodles and the noodles themselves had this great chew to them, clearly made fresh and not from a bag. The lamb had a good amount of heat from the cumin without tipping over into unbearable, and you can ask for it milder if you're not used to that level of spice. We also tried the pork dumplings, which were tangy and a little spicy in the sauce, genuinely some of the better dumplings either of us had in the city. The cold skin noodles were a nice contrast, a vegetarian option that's rich and a little numbing from the chili oil, and honestly held its own against the meat dishes. Portions are bigger than you'd expect for the price, so sharing across a few dishes with a gro
